Job Description

Element has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your Accountancy career within a Global TIC business.

This is a hybrid position, must be able to go into the office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Record general journal entries, obtain appropriate supporting documentation, and prepare complex supporting calculations using independent judgement and specific knowledge of the accounting profession
  • Work with complex entries related to payroll, fixed assets and leases
  • Prepare monthly detailed balance sheet account reconciliations which require independent judgement and coordination with higher levels in the company and external stakeholders
  • Provide detailed analysis and explanations of transactions using specific knowledge of the accounting profession; this may require coordination with higher levels in the company and external stakeholders
  • Prepare periodic supporting schedules for audit or other external stakeholders, using specific knowledge of the accounting profession and company policies
  • Ad hoc research for unusual transactions as required by senior management, using knowledge of the accounting profession to support conclusions or recommendations

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
  • Must be able to work in our Blue Ash, OH office 3 days a week
  • Strong understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Knowledge of accounting aspects related to the payroll, fixed assets, and lease processes
  • Limited work review after tasks have been completed
  • Independent judgement and time management
  • Key resource and contact for explanation or clarification of complex transactions
  • Effectively determine the order of workflow, with few exceptions that relate to timing of closing an accounting period or recording payroll related transactions
  • Ability to create layouts of Ad Hoc reports or resolution formats
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
  • Must have proficient computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Must be deadline oriented, have excellent time management, and great attention to detail
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and interaction skills
