Job Description

About the Role

This is a pivotal finance role at Amicus — one that sits at
the intersection of financial operations, team leadership, and stakeholder
collaboration. As our Senior Accountant – AP/AR Lead, you'll own the accounts
payable and receivable functions end-to-end, keeping our cash flow healthy and
our supplier and client relationships strong.

You'll lead a small offshore team, act as a key financial
link between our operations and finance functions, and play an active role in
month-end close, compliance, and continuous improvement. If you thrive in a
high-trust, results-oriented environment and bring genuine expertise in AP/AR
within a project-based business, we'd love to hear from you.

Here are some examples of what you’ll do:

  • Own end-to-end accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Lead fortnightly cash flow forecasting and contribute to month-end close activities including P&L analysis and variance reviews
  • Build strong relationships with State Operation Leaders and Project Managers to reduce receivables cycle times and support project delivery
  • Lead, mentor, and quality-control an offshore AP/AR team of four, keeping them aligned to business priorities
  • Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, and payroll tax obligations, and assist with payroll processing
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate records for
    internal and external audits
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial
    stakeholders across the business
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within finance and project functions, and
work with business leads to drive change

Here is what will make you ideal for the role:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a corporate accounting role, ideally in a project-based environment
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and strong knowledge of MYOB or similar accounting software
  • Familiarity with Security of Payment Acts (SOPA) and construction industry financial dynamics is desired but not essential
  • Experience with work management software (e.g. Monday.com) and CreditorWatch is a plus

Here is why you might love working for us

  • We do a 9-day fortnight
  • We do 2 days in the office/week and the rest from anywhere
  • Our purpose is to create positive impacts on people’s lives: for All Australians; for First Australians; for Amicus people
  • We’re goals driven, not hours driven. So, if your day can include a walk, a school pickup, some sport – go for it
  • We offer stability and growth path - we've been doing this for our people since 2005
