Position Summary
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to support a fast-paced, multi-entity business across brewing, manufacturing, distribution, and restaurant operations. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financials, leading the monthly close, and supporting reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads key aspects of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintains accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements
- Manages cash reporting, bank reconciliations, debt schedules, and lease accounting
- Supports inventory and cost accounting, including COGS analysis and operational variance insights
- Prepares and assists with regulatory filings (e.g., sales tax, TTB, CRV) and annual reporting
- Supports internal and external audits and ensure strong internal controls
- Identifies and implements process improvements and support ERP optimization
- Partners cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to provide financial insights
- Assists with ad hoc analysis and support AP/AR functions as needed
Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA preferred or in progress)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems (Great Plains preferred, but not required)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Office-based role with 5 days/week onsite at our Main Brewery in Pacific Beach. After-hours or weekend support may be needed for inventory counts or deadlines.
