Job Description

We are seeking a strong, experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting and accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with deep technical accounting knowledge, proven leadership abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules for multiple locations
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy
  • Manage general ledger accounts, perform account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, construction in process, software in development, depreciation schedules, and lease accounting (ASC 842)
  • Handle complex revenue recognition, accruals, and expense allocations
  • Prepare and review supporting documentation for external audits and tax filings
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, variances, and provide actionable insights to management
  • Develop, implement, and improve accounting processes, policies, and internal controls
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and accounting staff
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Support special projects as assigned, including system implementations and process automation

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required); CPA license preferred but not required
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar)
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff is a plus
