In the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary (“CER region”), we deliver financial services for group brands (Scania, MAN) and support their business activities through professional financial management, innovation, and a strong focus on quality.

We are a team of 50 professionals managing a portfolio of approximately EUR 350 million. For our office in Chrášťany (Prague), we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support and drive key accounting processes.

Your responsibilities

• Close cooperation with the Chief Accountant and ensuring continuity of key accounting activities
• Taking responsibility for selected key accounting processes within the department
• Issuing and processing outgoing invoices, including verification of their factual, formal, and tax correctness
• Posting incoming invoices and other liabilities, including VAT control (incl. partial deduction adjustments in line with legislation)
• Matching payments (CZK and foreign currency accounts), bank statement postings, and working with sub-ledgers
• Preparing payment orders based on due dates, repayment schedules, and internal guidelines
• Performing month-end and year-end closing activities (account reconciliations, FX differences, advances control, balance confirmations)
• Intercompany accounting and cooperation on consolidation packages within the TRATON Group
• Supporting audits and financial/tax inspections

Your profile

• Secondary or university degree in Economics/Finance
• Senior-level accounting experience (ideally 5+ years)
• Previous experience as a Senior Accountant or with full-scope accounting is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Czech accounting standards and tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax)
• High level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with FEIS (Arbes) is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of English (used within an international group)
