Job Description

Senior accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end closing procedures. Support the Finance Manager to organize and streamline the Accounting Dept. in order to timely meet the growing requirements of the business especially timely financial reports and analysis, implement optimum efficiency and control and establish back-office accounting, efficient internal and external audits, tax and other compliances, ERP Implementation and maintain efficient accounting database, processes and reporting for timely decision making

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. And ensuring that the financial statements are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
• Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
• Producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results.
• Support month-end and year-end closing process.
• Responsible for overseeing the accounting department. This includes training new accountants, developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, and ensuring that the department is meeting its goals.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns in UAE, KSA & Egypt.
• Communicating with auditors and providing them with access to financial records, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise during the audit process.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
• Liaise with our Financial manager to improve financial procedures.

Job Requirements:

Graduate in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Having experience working in ERP System.
• 3 to 5 years experience in service-related industry as an Accountant.
• CPA, CMA, or ACCA qualification is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Able to work independently to close month end & year end accounts.
• Highly organized and manage to maintain hard and soft database relating to accounting & finance.
• Excellent Excel skills, communications skills, well organized and dedicated.
• Attention to details and meticulous.
