The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for various general accounting functions. This position, in which the individual will be primarily focused on the General Ledger duties of an accounting department performing journal entries, reconciliations and participate in various projects as requested. It is an exciting position for an accountant who wants to work for a fast-paced international company and grow in the corporate accounting field while experiencing the full breadth of the accounting function.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly activities which would include processing journal entries, account reconciliations, account analysis, managing specific accounting system subledgers, Inventory accounting etc.

• Assist with documenting and updating processes and procedures (including Desk Level Procedures
• Evaluate ways to leverage the systems more effectively to improve the existing processes and procedures
• Assist with completion of internal and external audits
• Other duties which may be assigned as deemed appropriate based on experience and skillsets

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience working within an accounting organization and participating in close activities
• BA/BS in accounting and GL accounting background
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle process including purchasing, accounts payable, order management, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, inventory cycle.
• Knowledge in BE-GAAP and/or IFRS
• Strong SAP accounting system experience (within the last 3 yrs), is mandatory
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills
• Fundamental and working knowledge of accounting principles (BE GAAP and/or IFRS) and experience with Inventory accounting
• Experience working in a fast pace/high growth environment where they have shown an ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a given time
• Good understanding of EU VAT regulations

Nice to Have:

• Project accounting experience a plus
• Multi-currency accounting a plus
• A mix of public audit and corporate accounting experience a plus
