A highly regarded and well-capitalized investment firm is conducting a confidential search for a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance organization. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in both core accounting functions and ongoing finance transformation initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, leveraging systems, and helping modernize accounting operations in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end close activities including general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Identify process inefficiencies and drive automation and workflow improvements across accounting operations
Support ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements and process redesign
Manage key accounting areas such as cash, payroll, leases, accruals, and prepaids
Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure accuracy across multiple entities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred (or active pursuit required)
6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a fast-paced or transforming environment
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls; exposure to investment or financial services environments is a plus
Proven experience supporting or leading transformation initiatives (ERP implementations, automation, process improvements)
Experience with large ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar)
Advanced Excel skills with a data-driven mindset
