Job Shift: Day
- Work cooperatively with Northwest Health Services (NHS) providers, supervisors, and personnel to carry out the goals and objectives of NHS according to governing body requirements and established internal policies and procedures.
- Treat others respectfully whether it is a patient, fellow employee, member of management, customer, vendor or visitor to our premises.
- Assist CFO with preparation of annual audit, cost reports, annual budgets, and other special projects.
- Recommend ways to reduce cost and enhance revenue.
- Research any issues regarding financial matters that may arise. Alert CFO for any unfound discrepancies.
- Prepare adjusting journal entries for month and annually.
- Work with CFO to maintain grant fund allocations, worksheets, and draw downs.
- Analyze any related financial issues as requested by the CFO.
- Prepare daily deposits.
- Download and integrate daily commerce bank deposits.
- Maintain spreadsheet for clinic credit card payments collected. Northwest Health Services Inc. 2
- Moniter 340b contract pharmacies activities and AR balances.
- Program administrator for American Express and Commerce Purchasing cards.
- Complete all input and reconciliations for financial statements by 16th of each month.
- Review and update procedure manual for Senior Accountant on annual basis.
- Perform internal audits as related to financial policies and procedure compliance.
- Act as backup to Accounts Payable Specialist and Staff Accountant as necessary.
- Must comply with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
- Perform other duties as required.

QualificationsEssential Job Functions:
- Must be able to talk, see, hear, read, write, stand, kneel, lift, and sit for long periods of time.
- Possess cognitive skills necessary to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and or oral form.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Must respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Must demonstrate tact, patience and good communication skills in dealing with patients, NHS staff, and the public.

Qualifications:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, and proof of insurance for personal vehicle used for business.
- Accounting Degree preferred. Degree can be replaced with applicable experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate various mathematical skills such as percentages, computing ratios, etc.
- Must demonstrate basic computer skills.
- Possess light typing skills, computer knowledge preferred.
- Must possess light typing, ten-key, and computer skills. Must demonstrate accuracy, proficiency and efficiency.
- Knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics Accounting System desired.
- Working knowledge of Excel is required.
