Job Description

The Connexa Search Group is recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team in a hands-on role responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting and analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This position will work closely with finance leadership and cross functional partners to support budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and audit readiness while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing
• Monitor cash flow and support liquidity management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Analyze financial results, trends, and variances and provide insights to management
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and divisional leadership
• Perform budget to actual variance analysis and monitor budget performance
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and support audit readiness
• Conduct internal reviews to identify and address control gaps or discrepancies
• Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings in coordination with external tax advisors
• Stay current on changes in accounting standards and tax regulations
• Collaborate with controllers, analysts, and junior accountants on departmental initiatives and cross functional projects
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant credential preferred
• 3+ years relevant accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
