Job Description

HEICO is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant III for its Electronic Technologies Group (ETG) based in Hollywood, Florida. This position reports directly to the Vice President, ETG Accounting & Finance. In this position, the ETG Senior Accountant III will likely:

  • Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for entities within the ETG
  • Prepare necessary top-sided journal entries for eliminations or adjustments of foreign GAAP to U.S. GAAP
  • Serve as a remote Interim Controller for recently-acquired subsidiaries that lack Controller role
  • Assist with the implementation of internal controls at recently-acquired subsidiaries
  • Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Provide financial and operational support to the HEICO subsidiaries
  • Observe the year-end physical inventory counts at the HEICO subsidiaries
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external (SEC) reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return
  • Perform/assist with other duties and special ad-hoc projects

Requirements/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master’s Degree highly preferred
  • CPA license preferred
  • Minimum of four to six years of progressive experience in financial accounting (public and/or industry)
  • Strong general ledger and inventory cost accounting experience a plus
  • Knowledge in areas such as intercompany transactions, financial consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, non-controlling interests, purchase accounting and foreign exchange accounting a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data
  • Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
