Job Description

As a key member of the Finance function for Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) including all programs and social enterprises, you will ensure accurate financial transactions, compliance with Charities Act and regulations, Financial Reporting Standards in Singapore, strong internal controls, as well as support financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and mission-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review of group consolidation, statutory financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Lead external audit and internal audit processes, ensuring schedules, data and responses are prepared accurately and timely.
  • Review & ensure tax compliance for activities including GST, withholding tax and corporate tax computation and tax-related documentation.
  • Independently manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensure timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Oversee treasury and bank related matters including cashflow forecast.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts, collaborate cross-functionally with HODs to support and align financial plans with business objectives.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously improve close and reporting processes through automation and system enhancements leveraging technology tools, such as automation platforms.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in GL, financial reporting and group consolidation. Experience in managing a small team is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • A team player who is hands-on and meticulous in his/her work.
  • Good analytical skills, detail-oriented and solutions-oriented with a continuous-learning mindset.
