GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.
A professional services firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations and close activities while partnering closely with finance leadership on reporting, analysis, and process improvement.

What You’ll Do

Support key aspects of the monthly and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Reconcile bank, trust, and general ledger accounts and investigate variances
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations with clear documentation and audit-ready support
Generate standard and ad hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders
Perform detailed account analysis to ensure financial data integrity
Support external accountants with audit, tax, and annual review requests
Assist with required filings and property-related reporting as needed
Collaborate with accounting and finance colleagues on process improvements and special projects
Maintain documentation related to accounting procedures and account structures

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a professional services environment
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
