We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed orientedSenior Staff Accountantto join the Jonas Corporate Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and will work closely with the existing team on various aspects of the month end close (includingintercompany) and consolidation process.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our Finance team, you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingand supporting continuous process improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

Month-End Closing & General Accounting

• Support month-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.

• Recorddailyfinancial transactions and complete postings in Microsoft Dynamics GPDynamics365F&O

• Prepare andpostjournal entries, including shared expense allocations

• Collaborate with corporate transactional teams to resolve accounting issues.

• Completemonthly balance sheet account reconciliations andpreparesupporting schedules.

Sales Tax Compliancefor Corporate entities

• Prepare and file Canadian and US sales and use tax returns across multiple provincesandstates(monthly/quarterly/annual)

• Reconcile sales tax liability accountsand ensure accurate tax reporting.

• Monitortax laws, rate changes, and regulatory updates tomaintaincompliance.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&OAdministration

• Support theadministration of the General Ledger module, including the global Chart of Accounts, financial dimensions, posting profiles, intercompany setups and related master data.

• Provide end-user supportfor GL functionality and assist with system troubleshooting.

• Perform system related taskssuch as updating FX rate tables and running FX revaluations.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Respond to internal and external information requests, including head office inquiries, government surveys and tax submissions.

• Support internal, external and statutory audit activities by providing documentation and analysis.

Process Improvement & Projects

• Contribute to special projectsaimed atimproving processes, operational efficiency, and automation.

• Develop or enhance standard and ad-hoc reports and analytical tools to streamline finance operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role

• Bachelor’s degree in accountingor business administrationand Professional Accounting qualification or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting

• Knowledge of multi-currency transactions

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, using excelvlookupand pivot tables in data analysis

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Familiarity withMicrosoft Dynamics F&Oan asset
