Job Description

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Preparing financial analyses and reports to Regional Office

• Timely and accurate preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other accounting records

• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts

• Ensuring accuracy of accounting entries

• Creating reports with Oracle and comparing with ZODIAC & Maximo

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets

• Comparing proposed budgets with previous year’s actuals to identify trends and anomalies

• Collecting information on capital expenditure payments for cash flow projections

• Assisting in preparation of cost studies for projects and proposals

Audit, Compliance & Risk Management

• Assisting with annual audit preparations

• Investigating and resolving audit findings, discrepancies, and non-compliance issues

• Avoiding legal challenges through compliance with legal requirements

Taxation

• Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns

Accounts Payable, Receivable & Cash Management

• Ensuring timely processing of accounts payable and receivables

• Ensuring daily reconciliation of cash collected from the Commercial Department

• Collecting deposit slips on payment and submitting to Accounts Receivable Clerk

Data Accuracy & Management Reporting

• Ensuring accuracy of statistical information received from departments for consolidated management reporting

Systems, Process Improvement & Controls

• Contributing to development or amendment of accounting systems, programs, and procedures

• Providing regular process control checks and initiating performance improvement activities

ERP & Systems Support

• Assisting staff with Oracle system problems and enquiries

Supervision & General Support

• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required

• Any other work deemed necessary to structure tasks and goals for high productivity and efficient use of resources
