Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to take end-to-end ownership of strategic public sector accounts across Belgian federal, regional and local government organizations and public agencies.

This is a broad, strategic role that goes beyond business development and relationship building. You will connect client priorities with our internal capabilities, shape opportunities, oversee public procurement processes, establish effective governance and work closely with delivery and resource teams to ensure lasting value throughout the engagement lifecycle.

• Set the strategic direction for key accounts by translating public sector priorities into actionable account plans and long-term partnership objectives.
• Develop a strong relation with the decision makers at the key accounts.
• Act as the central link between clients, consulting, delivery, solution and resource teams, ensuring alignment from opportunity shaping through execution.
• Lead the full commercial cycle, including opportunity qualification, value proposition development, public tenders, framework contracts, negotiations and contract award.
• Establish effective governance, monitor service quality and account performance, and proactively manage expectations, risks, escalations and improvement actions.
• Help position the right consultants and experts for client needs while supporting continuity, quality delivery and employee development within client environments.
• Provide management with clear reporting, forecasting and strategic insights to support sustainable account growth and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

You are a senior commercial professional with strong experience in strategic account management, business development and stakeholder engagement within complex environments.

• Master's degree or equivalent through experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in account management and business development, ideally within public sector organisations.
• Established network within the Belgian public sector, ideally at federal level and in Brussels and Wallonia.
• Strong skills in relationship building and communication
• Experience in ICT services, consulting or digital transformation is highly valued.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English.

You combine commercial drive with credibility, political awareness and the ability to translate complex client challenges into clear, actionable solutions.
