Job Description

Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes DN’s opportunities across product lines or services. The ideal candidate must have talent in solutions selling, experience in payment systems and customer service preferably in the Financial Services industry.

Managing all stages of the sales process, from prospecting to negotiation and closing deals

Developing and nurturing customer relationships at all levels of the customer’s organization from operations to C-suite.

Keenly tracks and understands customer’s strategy along with economic and industry activity and understands its implications on customer business, including impact on existing business and potential for new business opportunities.

Proactively engages with customer challenges and opportunities drawing on past experience and multiple perspectives to determine creative solutions.

Building and executing an Account Plan that includes both transactional and strategic initiatives to grow our presence and share in the account.

Developing Value Propositions that meet the client’s business needs and converts these propositions into opportunities. Thus builds pipeline and then actively nurtures and converts into wins.

Demonstrates strong understanding of financial impact of deals and tailors interactions based on an understanding of customers’ needs and businesses

Mentoring and guiding project managers/leads & team members, working with the customer, to ensure that they are delivering a professional, high quality, high value & responsive service experience to the client.

Managing client expectations, provide updates to their senior management, participate in steering review meetings.

Ensuring clear and timely communication and reporting of status of engagements to internal and external stakeholders. Identify & mitigate risks proactively,

Managing when required the commercial aspect of client relationships e.g.: contract negotiations, proposals, licensing, project and, or variation type agreements.

Delegating where appropriate or necessary, diligently completing and always managing all administrative related tasks linked to Sales and Account.

Working within the broader DN team per above to benefit from collective efforts and knowledge for the benefit of the team and, or Accounts.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong business and financial acumen with an ability to understand and appreciate client’s business,

Self-starter and ability to work alone as well within teams that carry disparate competencies yet converge to meet targets related to Cost, Quality & Time

Technical/engineering/software background of value.

Having a background in business/domain consultancy within core banking area

Having large and valuable personal network within banking and financial services industry.

High aptitude for problem solving and negotiation

Outstanding communication, writing and collaboration skill

Great with numbers, commercial analysis and pulling together sales targets and proposals, and have strong decision-making skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Retail or Banking center operations, procedures and the utilization of technology within the environments.
  • General knowledge of Diebold Nixdorf products and services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Software and Service solution sales would be advantageous.
  • Consultative sales experience with complex solution design is desired.
  • Experience working within a customer focussed B2B environment and developing strategic client relationships and accounts with senior stakeholders.
  • Exhibit skills, characteristics, traits and work habits that greatly enhance the likelihood of success as an Sales Manager, ex: solution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, time and territory management, customer empathy.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, strategic planning, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills at all levels of the organization, including senior executive levels.
  • Possess experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce to maximize opportunities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
