The Role

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships and Growth, the Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts in the UK.  This role is focused on strategic account management to support the success, retention and growth of clients, including managing an upsell opportunity pipeline

As a Togetherall Account Manager focused on client retention you’ll be proactively keeping in touch with clients, ensuring that they are happy, developing and managing those relationships to retain existing business, and offering the best solutions to maximise opportunities as well as driving the commercial renewal process within each account.

Our business opportunities are across the UK, so this role will be remotely based, and we will provide you with the equipment or allowances that you need to do the job. Although the role is remote, travel is expected to visit clients for both meetings and events. Team meetings are usually held monthly in Manchester.

This role is initially a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover, offering a fantastic opportunity to join our team at an exciting time of growth. There is potential for the position to become permanent, depending on how the business evolves over the coming months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively maintain regular contact with clients to ensure continued satisfaction, address issues, and build lasting relationships
  • Build strong relationships across varying levels of an organisation (from day-to-day contacts to senior leadership), developing a deep understanding of client needs and challenges
  • Use CRM systems and internal documentation to accurately capture, track and share client information and activity
  • Interpret platform data and client insights to support decision-making, provide strategic recommendations, and highlight impact
  • Help clients maximise their engagement with the platform through regular performance reviews, insights, and targeted promotional campaigns
  • Manage the full renewal process, including commercial conversations, value positioning, pricing proposals, negotiations, and contract closure
  • Plan and lead renewal and budget discussions well in advance of key timelines, ensuring clients have the information and support needed to secure ongoing contracts
  • Represent Togetherall at client meetings and industry events (e.g. AMOSSHE), confidently engaging with clients and prospects in both formal and informal settings to strengthen relationships and raise awareness
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. clinical, marketing, and data) to deliver a seamless and consistent experience for clients

About you

  • 3+ years’ experience in an Account Management or Client Success role, nurturing and growing a portfolio of accounts
  • Proven experience of retention and growth within an existing portfolio of accounts (renewals and upsells are a fundamental part of the role)
  • Account Management experience in the benefits, mental health or wellbeing sectors is a definite asset
  • Demonstrable experience increasing engagement and adoption of a support solution
  • Commercially minded with the ability to link service value to client ROI, budget planning, and business objectives
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative to move things forward without needing detailed instructions
  • Strategic relationship-orientated and have a passion for building partnerships with clients over long periods
  • Clear and confident communicator who takes ownership in written and verbal communication, and proactively follows up after meetings
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); keenly client focused and numbers driven
  • Comfortable networking and building rapport in person - including at events, conferences, and social engagements
  • Strong presentation skills - able to represent the business by hosting and presenting on webinars and at in-person events
