Job Description

The Senior Account Manager is primarily responsible for originating and executing transactions in specific regions, industry segments, and origination channels (primarily vendor-driven).

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and qualify vendor, Mfg’s and end-user customers that fit Navitas’s objectives with respect to volume, application quality and pricing.
  • Create and present vendor and customer quotes.
  • Manage the origination and transaction closing process with customer, vendor, and captive/referral source programs.
  • Manage relationships with referral sources by providing training, support and follow-up in order to enhance and grow the business relationship with Navitas.
  • Disseminate internally market and competitive information relating to credit, rate, structure and performance trends in target markets.
  • Collect, organize and submit internally customer and vendor due diligence information; participate in credit committee as requested and attend various departmental meetings.
  • Provide Supervisor with weekly prospect and origination reports.
  • Attend industry trade shows, develop and cold call customer lists, research through Internet and various media.
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding the existing customer database.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure continuing customer satisfaction.
  • Aid in customer care and collection activities as requested.
  • Heavy phone communication and some travel is required.

Requirements For Success

  • Four-year college degree, preferably in business, finance, or equivalent.
  • Two-plus years of vendor, end-user leasing, or equivalent sales experience.
  • Proven track record and demonstrated expertise in Navitas’s target markets.
  • Flexibility to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships externally with vendors, referral sources, and customers as well as with all other Departments.
  • Ability to identify, develop prospects and gain access to decision makers.
  • Skilled as assessing competitive and financial strength of vendors, referral sources, and customers.
  • Solid understanding of equipment finance process and procedures, including credit, pricing, yield calculations, and collections.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and relationships.
  • Ability to make multiple sales calls and comfortably propose our products to new customers.
  • Commitment to forge ahead when faced with rejection.
  • Experience and willingness in working with delinquent customers and help resolve customer service issues.
  • Persuasive negotiation skills to finalize and close transactions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills utilizing PowerPoint and other presentation programs.
  • Computer literate in standard office applications.
  • Experienced user of software for CRM ( Salesforce.com a plus), workflow management ( Leaseworks a plus) and database management.
  • Able to rapidly learn custom-designed tools such as Internet-based application entry and field quoting tools.
  • Skilled with calculator to compute yields and rate factors.
