The Account Manager – Direct Sales is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying business needs and delivering tailored solutions that create long-term value. The position focuses on acquiring new business, expanding existing accounts, and developing strategic plans to strengthen customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with customers through both in-person and virtual engagements.
  • Understand customer business objectives, challenges, and requirements to recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions.
  • Create and execute medium- and long-term account strategies to retain, grow, and diversify customer relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand revenue within existing accounts and secure new business opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned products, services, or solution areas, effectively communicating value and functionality to customers.
  • Conduct consultative sales activities, including presentations, demonstrations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful customer outcomes and seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform account strategies and sales plans.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, sales forecasts, and customer records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive professional experience in account management, direct sales, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and achieve revenue growth objectives.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and develop strategic solutions that deliver business value.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead complex projects successfully.

  • Solves complex problems using sound judgment, analytical thinking, and prior experience.
