Job Description

Established in 2004, OLIVER is the world’s first and only specialist in designing, building, and running bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries and counting. Our unique model drives creativity and efficiency, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate deeply with audiences.

As a part of The Brandtech Group, we're at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work. Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.

Role: Senior Account Director

Location: Manila, Philippines

About the role:

This is an opportunity to join OLIVER's in-house studio embedded with a leading consumer health brand, as a Senior Account Director delivering high-impact digital content and healthcare professional (HCP) communications across key markets.

Based in the Philippines, you'll lead a portfolio of complex accounts, managing senior client relationships and driving strategic growth while ensuring consistently excellent delivery across your team. Your ability to build trusted partnerships at the most senior level, identify commercial opportunities, and inspire those around you will be central to the role.

We support flexible working and are open to different arrangements. We offer reasonable adjustments throughout the hiring process.

As Senior Account Director, you are the strategic and commercial lead across your account portfolio. You bring senior client relationships to life — driving meaningful outcomes for a complex consumer health and HCP-specialist client — while maintaining the highest standards of service and delivery.

You are equally comfortable presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders as you are coaching your team through day-to-day challenges. You'll set the standard for how account management operates within the studio: balancing creative ambition with commercial discipline, and championing a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This role carries significant people leadership and commercial accountability. You'll manage a team of Account Managers and Account Directors, own the financial performance of your portfolio, and contribute actively to new business development.

What you will be doing:

Client Partnership:

  • Lead and deepen relationships with senior clients, acting as the primary strategic partner and key escalation point across the portfolio
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value, constructively challenge briefs, and help clients achieve their broader business ambitions
  • Ensure all client communications are clear, structured, and solution-oriented — in person and in writing
  • Maintain brand and regulatory guardianship across all projects, upholding creative and compliance standards consistently
  • Stay current with industry trends, healthcare sector developments, HCP communication best practice, and innovation in content and digital media — and bring these insights to clients

Process and Governance:

  • Set and enforce internal account management processes and quality standards across the team
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for SLA breaches, process gaps, and quality issues; ensure these are captured, resolved, and improved
  • Partner with the Head of Operations and department leads to evolve ways of working and embed new practices
  • Lead project triage and prioritisation using the studio tier system in collaboration with the Creative Lead
  • Anticipate significant volumes of upcoming work or changes to resourcing requirements; escalate proactively to the Country Head and Head of Operations

Project Delivery:

  • Oversee successful end-to-end delivery across all projects in the portfolio, in close collaboration with Creative and Project Management leads
  • Monitor project run rate, quality, and client satisfaction; intervene early to mitigate delivery risks
  • Ensure teams understand client ambitions clearly, and that clients understand agency requirements and timelines
  • Escalate projects at risk of unsuccessful delivery promptly, with a clear plan of action

Commercial Accountability:

  • Manage account-level production budgets, including cost estimation, purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliation
  • Track and report on portfolio financial performance; flag risks early and drive cost efficiencies without compromising output quality
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing accounts, contributing to studio revenue targets
  • Understand and articulate the commercial model of the studio; take clear accountability for the profitability of your portfolio

People Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of Account Managers and Account Directors — supporting their performance, development, and wellbeing
  • Monitor team KPIs and provide structured, regular feedback to support individual growth
  • Foster a client-centric, collaborative team culture built on accountability, curiosity, and psychological safety
  • Lead knowledge-sharing and learning initiatives across the studio; model a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage direct and indirect reports with a clear approach to delegation, empowerment, and performance

What you need to be great in this role:

Formal qualifications are welcome but not required Equivalent professional experience counts — whether gained through agency work, client-side roles, self-directed learning, or other paths.

Client and Account Leadership:

  • Significant experience leading complex accounts and managing teams within a creative or integrated agency environment
  • A track record of managing senior client relationships, owning portfolio performance, and driving measurable growth
  • Experience working on healthcare, consumer health, or HCP-specialty accounts is a strong advantage
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills — able to influence, challenge, and partner at senior levels
  • Ability to integrate with a client-side team while maintaining a top-tier agency perspective and standard of work

Delivery and Operations:

  • Strong project management sensibility — able to oversee multi-workstream projects and maintain quality throughout
  • Experience establishing and improving agency processes, with a bias towards practical, scalable solutions
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities with composure

Commercial Acumen:

  • Solid understanding of account finances, budget management, and profitability
  • Experience tracking and reporting on budget performance at an account level
  • A demonstrable ability to identify and convert growth opportunities within existing client relationships

People Leadership:

  • Proven experience managing and developing a team, including Account Directors or equivalent
  • A coaching, inclusive leadership approach that brings out the best in others
  • Ability to lead with clarity and composure through ambiguity and complexity

Gen AI and Agentic Thinking:

  • Experience integrating Gen AI tools into account management workflows to improve efficiency and quality of output
  • Ability to establish quality standards and governance for AI-assisted work across a team
  • Agentic approach to complex, multi-stakeholder challenges — systematic, goal-oriented, and adaptable
  • A coaching mindset around responsible AI adoption; able to guide your team in critically evaluating and refining AI-assisted outputs
  • Genuine curiosity about emerging technologies and their evolving role in healthcare communications

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Experience managing account-level production budgets from cost estimation through to reconciliation
  • Confident presenting financial performance to senior internal and client stakeholders
  • Skilled at driving cost efficiency across team output without compromising delivery standards
