Department Overview
Our team supports the Transmission & Substation Engineering groups that design and building a safer, more reliable electrical network. Our team is currently in the process of implementing intelligent engineering tools that will automate work processes, enhance user experiences, while achieve our project goals.
We are seeking an engineering professional to join our team to help support the Transmission and Substation engineering line of business. As a member of our team, you will be setting the direction for innovation in design and engineering technologies at PG&E.
The senior 3D CAD Records & Data Analyst serves as a key liaison between the Records team, Engineering groups, and program leadership within Gas Transmission Engineering and Design. This role supports the integration of 3D modeling into project workflows while managing the end-to-end records lifecycle for engineering deliverables, including check-in/check-out protocols, version control, and data integrity across systems. The Analyst will coordinate SAP tasks related to drawing custody and work order management, maintain and enhance reporting dashboards, and support cross-functional collaboration between engineering, drafting, construction, and records teams. This position also contributes to the development of organizational standards and guidelines applicable to 3D CAD projects and plays a supporting role in the ongoing buildout of systems, tools, and processes that improve operational visibility and compliance.
Position will require approximately 10% of travel time in work schedule (mostly travel will be to the headquarters, San Ramon Valley Conference Center and Stockton or other yards for training needs)
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory ( San Ramon[headquarters planned to be changed to Pleasanton in October of 2026]).

This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
Pay Range:
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs
Job Responsibilities
