As a member of the V93000 World-wide Performance Digital COE (Center of Expertise) team you will work on cutting-edge technology in close collaboration with the R&D Department, the Customer Support Teams, and the Marketing Organization in a cross-functional environment.
You will learn and contribute to developing leading edge semiconductor test solutions and will also work directly with Advantest’s lead customers to bring their products to the market.
This is an ideal position for an expert test application engineer, with excellent semiconductor testing background and knowledge of the V93000 ATE test system, mostly focusing on digital applications.

Primary functions:

• Supporting the development of advanced test programs for Advantest key customers with our V93000 SOC Series platform solutions in the Performance Digital business segment (HPC/AI applications).
• Contributing to the definition, development, roll-out and utilization of Advantest’s current and future advanced test solutions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Support the customer teams and customers directly to develop the best test solutions for customer applications, based on specific test requirements and test efficiency aspects
• Managing customer meetings and communication, being a trusted technical consultant for the relevant topics, able to manage issues and escalations with competency and ownership
• Prepare and execute pre-sales activities like customer presentations and benchmark projects
• Enable and support the roll-out of solutions and products to the world-wide customer base in collaboration with the Customer Support Teams
• Identify emerging test requirements and consult the R&D for solution developments
• Provide expert technical support for the V93000 system and emerging applications to strategic accounts throughout the different regions of the world.
• Work in cross-functional teams to drive internal development projects or customer-specific solutions
• If needed, lead focused project teams, act as technical coordinator and project manager, guiding the team and driving projects to completion in a timely and accountable manner
• Be a key technical advisor for team managers, collecting, analyzing and interpreting the available information for an accurate decision making

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree or University Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or similar
• Excellent technical background: a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in electronic measurements/design, and ATE testing, preferably in the digital and High-Speed application domain, trusted expert (hands-on).
• Highly wanted: experience with thermal solutions for high-power testing, both on the HW (temperature monitoring, heat dissipation methodologies, test cell requirements) and SW (temperature reading and profiling, data transfer and real-time analysis) aspects
• Top-level knowledge of V93000 ATE test system highly preferable
• Linux, C/C+, and Java programming skills; good SW skills overall
• Very good English language & communication skills
• Strong personal leadership & good team player

• Problem-solving attitude, strategic thinking and operational excellence approach
• Willingness to travel (up to ~40%), regular stays in the US are necessary; business trips should be easy to arrange; extended business trips also possible
