Role Purpose

  • Support semiconductor and optoelectronic process integration across deposition, lithography, etch, metallization, thermal processing, and substrate handling in semiconductor fabrication lab.
  • Operate and sustain process tools and qualified recipes to enable stable, repeatable substrate processing.
  • Work with scientists to execute process experiments, collect metrology data, and support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Execution & Tool Operation
    • Run process tools, execute qualified recipes, and support equipment uptime through routine checks and basic troubleshooting.
  • Development Builds & Data Collection
    • Support engineering builds and DOE execution by preparing materials, running split conditions, and tracking process flow.
  • Metrology & Documentation
    • Perform metrology, record process data, and maintain accurate sample and tool documentation.
  • Cleanroom Operations
    • Maintain cleanroom discipline, material traceability, and contamination-control practices while supporting overall lab operations.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with hands-on semiconductor or microfabrication experience, OR an Associate’s degree with 2-3 years of relevant technical experience
  • Experience in a cleanroom, process development lab, pilot line, or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with processes such as deposition, photolithography, etch, plating, anneal, cleaning, bonding, or metrology
  • Ability to follow process documentation, SOPs, travelers, and equipment instructions

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience in semiconductor process development, engineering builds, pilot-line operations, or low-volume manufacturing
  • Experience with glass, ceramics, or other non-silicon substrates
  • Experience with SPC, DOE execution, recipe management, and process troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting process qualification and change implementation with scientists

The range for this position is $67,204.00 - $92,406.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
