Semi-Vac Operator

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Position Type: Full-time

Wage/Salary Range: Up to $40.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Hours Per Day: 10–12 hours per day

GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Semi-Vac Operator to join our Valued Clients team at project sites in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety in oilfield operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate semi-vac trucks safely and efficiently in oilfield and industrial environments
• Perform hydrovac and fluid hauling operations in accordance with site requirements
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine equipment maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and client procedures
• Complete daily logs, safety documentation, and job reports accurately
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (required)
• H2S Alive certification (valid)
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification
• Standard First Aid certification
• Previous experience operating semi-vac or similar equipment in oilfield settings
• Strong understanding of oilfield safety practices and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in hydrovac, fluid hauling, or combo unit operations
• Additional safety tickets (e.g., Ground Disturbance, TDG) considered an asset
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment:

• Field-based role in active oilfield and industrial sites
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
