Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant (Practice – Bolton)

Salary up to £40,000 (DOE and negotiable)

A forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Semi-Senior/Senior Accountant to support its growing portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who is keen to gain broader exposure, take on responsibility, and work or progress within a team environment.

• Broad and varied workload across accounts and VAT

The Role:

• Preparation of year-end and accounts for a range of clients
• Completion and submission of VAT returns
• Processing and reviewing financial data
• Assisting with information for tax computations
• Managing sales and purchase ledgers
• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records
• Bank reconciliations and control account reviews
• Working with cloud-based accounting software, including Xero / Dext
• Supporting colleagues to ensure deadlines are met
• Comfortable and communicative with clients, ensuring that their queries and expectations are met

About You:

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards further exams or QBE
• At least 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Confident communicator with a professional manner
• Able to manage workload independently while working well within a team
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Enthusiastic and proactive approach to work
