At Community Progress Council (CPC), we are on a mission to foster self-sufficiency, economic mobility, and family well-being across York County—and we’re looking for a Self-Sufficiency Manager to lead this impactful work.

What You’ll Do

  • As the Self-Sufficiency Manager, you will lead a dynamic, mission-driven team and oversee programs designed to help individuals achieve long-term stability.
  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Self-Sufficiency Program
  • Ensure services are client-centered, data-informed, and aligned with CPC’s mission
  • Champion approaches that are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and equity-centered
  • Supervise and coach Self-Sufficiency Coaches to deliver high-quality services
  • Support professional growth, leadership development, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee programs like Getting Ahead, ensuring strong implementation and meaningful outcomes
  • Use data to monitor performance, evaluate outcomes, and refine program strategies
  • Translate results into compelling stories and insights for leadership and community partners
  • Build partnerships with organizations and service providers to support participant success
  • Represent CPC in community initiatives focused on poverty reduction and economic mobility
  • Work cross-functionally to remove barriers and improve service coordination

  • Influence Empathetically listens and communicates for understanding when negotiating and dealing with conflict; serves as a community leader building collaborations based on trust and credibility to advance CPC’s mission and goals.
  • Communication Effectively tailors communicate to the appropriate audience; communicates for influence to attain buy-in and support of goals.
  • Developing Others Provides tools, resources and feedback to coach, guide and support employees.
  • Decision Making Provides others with frameworks for making decisions. Integrates multiple thinking processes to make decisions.
  • Project Management Develops, plans and manages best practices through engagement of team; ensures successful execution of plans.
  • Quality Results Assigns clear accountability and ensures continuous improvement; holds employees accountable for high-quality results using a formal process to measure progress.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • Prior experience leading or supervising teams
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and communities

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., ChildPlus)
  • Experience in coaching, self-sufficiency, or family-centered programs
  • Background in program or project management, especially in nonprofit settings
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills
