Housekeeping Temporary Worker- Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel/Retreat
The Housekeeping Temporary Worker will work closely with Guestroom attendants to remove
all trash, terry and linens from guest rooms. Although the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel is an enterprise of
the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, it operates under the Migizi Economic Development Company
Policies and Procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Having availability to work 5 days a week during Spring Break (March 26th-April 15th)11:30a-8pm
Transporting soiled linen and terry as well as trash in large rolling bins to their correct destinations.
Sorting linen and terry in laundry.
Stocking housekeeping carts with terry, linen, trash bags (any in room use items)
Following Blood Borne Pathogens proper clean up procedures.
Follow daily assignments.
Vacuum guestrooms and hallways.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Environment/Safety Hazards:
Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Must lift large and heavy
trash and laundry bags up to 30 lbs. Proper safety procedures, such as wearing gloves and/or masks, must be
followed must be followed due to exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP). May experience exposure to water
and vaporized chemicals and blood borne spills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
18+ in age.
Pre-employment background check.
Preferred:
Native American.
