Segment Supplier Quality Engineer

Where you will work:

Querétaro Technical Center | Parque Industrial O'Donnell

Work schedule: Monday-Thursday full time from office, and Friday working from home.

Willing to travel when needed

What you’ll do:

The Segment Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is a key role at Autoliv and is responsible for working with external suppliers to develop robust processes and deliver high quality parts. Serial SQE is involved from the pre-qualification of the supplier through the successful launch of components

Activities include verification of suppliers’ use of industry standards, Autoliv Standards, review of suppliers agreed to production lines/practices, and follow-up on non-conforming materials and events to closure. The Serial SQE will work with internal teams such as Project Launch, Purchasing, Engineering and other Quality teamsto plan quality events and resolve issues. Manage PPAP/PSW approvals for external suppliers.

What is required:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

• 4-6 years of experience in a similar role

• Advanced English skills.

• Knowledgeable in Injection molding or casting process and Supplier quality

• Experience in deployment and/or auditing of APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, SPC, VDA

• Knowledgeable in IATF 16949 / VDA and ISO 14001 requirements

• Six sigma certification or problem solving

• Open to change, teamwork, & follow up skills
