If you are marketing, technical professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you based in the HQ of Emerson's Fluid & Motion Control business in Florham Park, NJ. As the Segment Marketing Manager, you will be driving product success by aligning our technologies, products, and solutions with market needs through strategic collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing Communication teams. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market leadership by integrating market intelligence, customer insights, and business objectives into actional growth plans that position our portfolio for success.

You will be accountable for developing and deploying go-to-market strategies that maximize revenue impact and enhance cross-functional alignment. Working closely with our Industry Sales Specialists and Product Management teams, you will orchestrate successful product launches and identify potential portfolio additions to maximize impact in your assigned spaces.

You will also partner with Marketing Communications by defining the target audience and providing strategic direction for messaging to ensure alignment between product features and customer needs. Leveraging your expertise, the Marketing Communications team will deploy enablement tools such as promotional material to effectively communicate our value proposition.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and lead the overarching segment marketing strategy for the DAUT portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving market growth across assigned target segments
  • Oversee the creation and execution of integrated go-to-market plans, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches, accelerated adoption, and sustained revenue generation
  • Synthesize market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis to inform strategic direction, define new target industries or applications, identify new opportunities, and refine value propositions for assigned segments
  • Guide the positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies at the segment level, ensuring differentiation and optimal market fit across diverse regions and customer groups
  • Direct the development of lead generation, sales enablement, and training programs in partnership with sales, marketing communications, and revenue operations teams to maximize pipeline and sales effectiveness
  • Foster strong collaboration with Product Management, share customer needs to consider in new product development, and ensure future products and solutions are tailored to market requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of segment marketing initiatives

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field

  • 2 years of experience in a marketing, product, or technical environment

  • Highly self‑motivated individuals demonstrated success in driving cross-functional alignment and execution

  • Fast, independent learner comfortable with new technologies and markets

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive data into actionable strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing stakeholders without direct authority

  • Ability to learn new markets, technologies, and customer segments quickly

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Customer and/or supplier facing experience
  • Participation in cross-functional transformation project e.g. deployment of new tools, new processes, team reorganization, and technology upgrades.
  • Familiarity with new product development cycles and providing market input into product roadmaps
  • Experience supporting or defining target audiences, personas, and segmentation models

Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $85,000 - $ 105,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role
