Job Description

To ensure availability of product, it must first go through the receiving process here at Ball Horticultural. Timely and accurate receivables are necessary to meet our customer’s needs, which are our first priority.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Unload, unpack and physically receive inbound shipments of seed to have supply available when our customers need it
  • Operate Seed Counter/SAP adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy, seed needs to be counted and adjustments made for proper packaging for our customer
  • Produce Seed Mixes to offer a variety of seed options to our customer
  • Prepare Lab Orders as accurate work order prep for our Ball Premier Lab aids in the quality of the enhanced seed
  • Assist with Physical Inventory to maintain an accurate inventory
  • Use SAP to Receive Shipments to make our product visible for customer orders
  • Assist with inventory
  • Quality checks as necessary

Requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in basic math, familiar with computers/email is required
  • Ability to work as a team member, strong communication skills

Pay Range: $19-$24/Hour

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds 5% of the day
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds 10% of the day
  • Ability to sit/stand 50% of the day
  • Ability to kneel/bend/reach/climb/balance up to 15% of the day
  • Ability to use hands/fingers up to 100% of the day
