Alliance SI is looking for a motivated Security Technician to join our team. Reporting to management and working as part of an experienced technical team, you'll support the cabling, installation and technical delivery of CCTV, Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) and security networks.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving technical problems and can communicate professionally with clients, builders, site supervisors and other trades.

You'll work across electronic security and communications infrastructure, with opportunities to strengthen your capability across access control, CCTV, cabling, fault-finding and high-security deployment environments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Install CCTV, alarms, access-control systems and PIRs.
  • Run and terminate Cat6, security, control and communications cabling.
  • Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
  • Install containment and complete work to relevant standards, manufacturer requirements and company procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, builders, site supervisors and other trades.
  • Report job progress, delays and technical issues clearly to management.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship, presentation and site cleanliness.

WHO WE'RE HOPING TO MEET

You're likely already working as a Security Technician and have practical experience installing, configuring and maintaining electronic security systems. You'll be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, interpreting technical information and fault-finding when issues arise.

  • You bring a strong working knowledge of electronic security systems and installation practices.
  • You are confident troubleshooting technical issues and finding practical solutions.
  • You can read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics and wiring information.
  • You communicate clearly with customers, project teams and other trades on site.
  • You take pride in safety, quality, presentation and delivering work properly.

THE EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Security Technician.
  • Open Cabling Licence / ACMA registration
  • NSW Security Licence
  • Construction Induction White Card.
  • Valid NSW Driver Licence.
  • Current Baseline, NV1, NV2 or PV clearance, or willingness to obtain the required clearance.
  • Gallagher T1A and high-security deployment experience are highly regarded, with Gallagher, Integriti and Lenel experience preferred.
