Education: Degree not required. 10-15 years relevant experience, with 3 in the last 10 years managing a program of similar magnitude and complexity.

Outcomes:
The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position:
- Formally track all tasks, to include assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.
- Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.
- Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.
- Establish foundation in AI/ML skills and contribute to AI/ML operationalization and modernization goals and objectives.
- Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.
- Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality, speed and/or efficiency.
Responsibilities:
The Security Task Lead supports (STL) The Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Crime Center (DC3) Enterprise Management and Resources (ER) Directorate providing expert focus on maintaining the physical security of DC3 facilities through regular inspections, access control management, and active monitoring of security systems, ensuring a secure environment by identifying vulnerabilities, managing authorized access, and responding to security incidents according to established procedures.
Per PWS section 2.14, Physical Security, the Security Task Lead SME responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop a physical security inspection checklist based on applicable regulations, organizational policies, and industry best practices. The check list shall cover all critical physical security elements (e.g., locks, doors, windows, fences, lighting) and, submit the Physical Security Inspection Checklist to the Government for review approval no later than 14 calendar days after contract start date (Section 4, Deliverable 19)
- Produce a physical security Inspection Report to the Government within three (3) business days of each physical security inspection (Section 4, Deliverable 20). The report shall include the completed checklist, a summary of findings, and recommendations for corrective actions (if applicable).
- Conduct weekly audits of the access control system to ensure its integrity and effectiveness and maintain accurate records of all access control activities, including badges, access changes, and audit results and provide access control system audit logs to the Government by the last business day of the month (Section 4, Deliverable 21).
- Maintain accurate records of all alarm activation, security incidents, and responses in the Incident Report and submit one (1) business day following the incident (Section 4, Deliverable 22).
- Review Government-provided documentation (e.g., records, procedures, reports, Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure understanding and compliance with DoW/DoD, AF, and DC3 personnel security policies.
- Review Government-provided documentation (e.g., procedures, reports, Standard Operating Procedures) and advise on compliance with DoW/DoD, AF, and DC3 information security and document control policies.
- Review document control records related to classified information and advise on compliance with established DC3 procedures and make recommendations on and implement needed improvements.
- Ensure that all uncleared personnel entering the SCIF are properly briefed on security regulations and procedures and obtain prior authorization from the CSO when escorting uncleared personnel.
- Escort uncleared personnel within the SCIF, ensuring that they do not have access to classified information or unauthorized areas.
- Review transactions taken by Contractor personnel in systems, databases, and platforms related to personnel security actions [e.g., Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Industrial Security Systems (NISS), eApplication (e-App) by (NBIS) ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulations. Discrepancies should be reported to the CSO or Government POC within 4 hours.
- Review and advise on Government-provided documentation (e.g., records, procedures, reports, Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure understanding and compliance with DoW/DoD, AF, and DC3 OPSEC and CUI security policies.
- Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving.
- May serve as the Contractor Security Team Task Lead.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Degree not required. 10-15 years’ relevant experience, with 3 in the last 10 years managing a program of similar size and complexity.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
- Experiencing managing a security program, office, and supervising others.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Experience producing SOPS, checklists, reports, and briefings.
- Good written and verbal skills. Comfortable briefing and communicating with all levels of personnel.
The following qualifications are desired:
- Support of DoW, Intelligence Community (IC), and/or the Air Force (desired).
- Experience supporting DC3 (desired).
- Experienced in operating in a cleared environment (desired).
- Knowledgeable and skilled in applying Generative AI.
Travel: Local travel and occasional long-distance travel outside a 50-mile radius may be required, < 10%.
