  • Work with Purchasing and vendors to identify and obtain equipment needed for installations, repairs, and system maintenance.

  • Review blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, software documentation, and installation manuals to guide system work.

  • Support pre-wire work for alarm, video surveillance, and access control systems.

  • Ensure work follows applicable safety requirements and established procedures.

  • Maintain effective coordination with Switch teams, customers, vendors, and subcontractors throughout security system work.

What We’re Looking For

  • You set clear priorities and follow through on commitments.

  • You make practical decisions when technical, schedule, or resource issues arise.

  • You communicate technical information clearly and include the details others need to make decisions.

  • You support your team while holding people accountable for safe, reliable work.

  • You identify problems early and bring forward workable solutions.

  • You maintain a strong focus on customer requirements and the reliability of security systems.

  • You follow established safety and operating procedures in mission-critical environments.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in electronic security systems, including 3+ years of management or team leadership experience.

  • Hands-on knowledge of electronic security system installation, programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.

  • Experience with access control, video management, biometric access, alarm, intercom, or related security platforms.

  • Working knowledge of IP-based devices and physical networks.

  • Experience using electronic shop tools, hand tools, and testing equipment.

  • Ability to read and apply blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, software documentation, and installation manuals.

  • Experience with pre-wire installation for alarm, video surveillance, or access control systems.

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to perform field work that may include extended standing and walking, working safely at heights, and lifting or moving equipment as required, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment when working in field or warehouse environments.
