Job Description

Fraport Greece, in the framework of operating the 14 Regional Airports, seeks for a Security Supervisor for Skiathos (JSI) Airport. The ideal candidate will be accountable for ensuring the efficiency of all security operations and the implementation of the Airport Security Program, addressing all related issues during the shift.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitor the daily security operations of the airport, including the performance of the outsourced security services provider, by taking measures to correct any deficit.
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of the Airport Security Program.
  • Participate in the Threat Evaluation Committees, and act as Secretariat to the Airport Security Committee.
  • Deal with emergencies (e.g. bomb threats) or other occurrences, in cooperation with the Head of Security, the Police, and the airport authorities.
  • Take required action if Company procedures and Security regulations are not followed.
  • Perform security inspections in order to assure the quality of the offered security services, verify the presence of the outsourced security staff per shift, and ensure that the airport's needs are covered according to the flight schedule.
  • Monitor the daily operation of the ID Card Office and authorize the issuance of the ID Cards.
  • Provide solutions to the daily security operations in any arising problem not described or covered by the existing SOPs.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma. A bachelor’s Degree will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the airport/airline security field.
  • Security Personnel Certification (Center for Security Studies/KEMEA/ N.2518).
  • Αviation Security Certifications 2.1 or 2.2 (issued by EEΠΑΑ) will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of the HCAA’s requirements and procedures in the field of Aviation Security.
  • Previous experience in Airport operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Driving Licence Cat: B
  • Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at a professional corporate level).
  • Fulfilled Military Obligations (if appropriate).

Fraport Greece’s innovative €440 million airport development program has significantly transformed these airports. In particular, Fraport Greece has delivered five brand new terminals, expanded and modernized five existing terminals, and upgraded four other terminals. Construction projects at airside operational areas of the regional airports included renovating 12 runways, improving ramp areas, and constructing and renovating 12 fire stations. All of the airports have also been equipped with new state-of-the-art baggage handling and security systems.

The 14 Greek regional airports project is one of the largest and most beneficial investments and is a basis for boosting the Greek economy. Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees.
