The Role:
The Security Supervisor supports the Security Manager in the day-to-day operation of the security department, helping to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, artists, and the venue. This role provides on-shift leadership to security staff,monitorscompliance with venue policies and procedures, and helpsmaintaina safe and welcoming environment. The Security Supervisorassistsinresponding to incidents, conducting patrols,monitoringpremises, and helping prevent theft, violence, and violations of venue rules while contributing to operational efficiency and guest satisfaction under the direction of the Security Manager.
Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction withSecurityManager and venuemanagement Teamto ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local,state,and federal laws and regulations.
Managing relationships with third party securityincludesscheduling/managinglabour
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and otherpeopleto guard against theft andmaintainsecurity of premises.
Moves throughout the venue and all areas to visuallymonitorand take corrective action when needed.
Provides guidance and improvement and implements necessary adjustments.
Investigates and resolves security complaints. Interacts positively with guests
Circulatingamong visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
Writesreports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Trains, supervises, counsels and disciplines security staff for the efficient operation of the security department.
All other duties assigned by the Security Manager and venue management.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least3years of experience in a similar role.
Security Licenserequired
Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a businessenvironmentand enforcement procedures.
Proven ability to effectively de-escalate tense or high-pressure situations whilemaintainingprofessionalism and guest safety.
Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal,writtenand interpersonal communication skills
Acutesenseof judgment,tact,and diplomacy
A keen senseof teamwork andabilityto execute programs
Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs,lifting,and carrying 50 lbs.+ and occasional sitting
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event-based scheduling.

The expected compensation for this position in Ontario is: $25 per hour.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
