PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Security Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Security Management team in ensuring the safety, security, and protection of guests, employees, assets, and resort property

The role requires constant vigilance, strong leadership, operational discipline, and full compliance with Rixos standards, local regulations, and ISO Integrated Management Systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Security Operations & Supervision

  • Supervise day-to-day security operations across all assigned areas of the resort
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of hotel premises, including public areas, back-of-house, staff entrances, and CCTV operations
  • Control access of contractors, suppliers, and visitors; issue and monitor visitor passes
  • Supervise tanker operations and ensure proper registration and compliance
  • Ensure Lost & Found items are correctly recorded, stored, and managed
  • Conduct frequent patrols and inspections of all security posts

2. Incident Management & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed and accurate incident, accident, and security reports
  • Escalate all security-related matters to the Assistant Security Manager / Security Manager in a timely manner
  • Review Security Logbook, Duty Manager / Night Manager reports daily and take corrective actions where required
  • Preserve crime scenes and evidence in accordance with procedures

3. Emergency Preparedness & Fire Safety

  • Ensure full readiness for all emergency situations (fire, evacuation, medical, security threats)
  • Conduct regular fire drills, emergency simulations, and live training exercises
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering for preventive maintenance of all safety and fire-fighting equipment
  • Maintain and regularly update the Emergency Procedures Manual

4. Team Leadership & Training

  • Conduct daily briefings and shift handovers with the Security team
  • Train new joiners and existing staff on:
    • Resort security regulations
    • Fire prevention and safety procedures
    • Emergency response and crisis management
    • Basic firefighting and life-saving techniques
    • Report writing and professional conduct
  • Monitor grooming standards, discipline, and performance of the Security team

5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with resort management, department heads, and employees on security matters
  • Coordinate with local authorities, law enforcement, and Fire & Safety departments when required
  • Ensure security coverage is planned and adequate for all events, activities, and VIP movements

6. Compliance, Records & Confidentiality

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all security records, reports, and sensitive information
  • Ensure all staff comply with resort policies, SOPs, and operational standards
  • Maintain documentation related to keys, access cards, and security systems
  • Monitor staff attendance, leave, and public holiday balances

Qualifications

Education:

  • University Degree or equivalent qualification

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Security Supervisor role within a 5-star hotel or resort
  • Pre-opening or large-scale resort experience is an advantage

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Good computer literacy and report-writing ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High integrity, discipline, and crisis-management capability
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies
