Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

You will be responsible for:

• assisting the Duty Controller (Assistant Manager, Security) in the Security Control Room (SCR);
• operating and monitoring all the systems and equipment in the Hong Kong Palace Museum SCR, such as access control systems, radios, guard tour equipment, intruder / burglar / fire alarm systems, key management and CCTV systems;
• controlling the issue and use of any security equipment;
• enforcing the rules, regulations and policies of Hong Kong Palace Museum, and applicable laws necessary to maintain an orderly environment;
• receiving and recording all telephone enquiries, incidents and complaints; and
• performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by Duty Controller and the Authority.

You should:

• possess secondary school standard or above;
• have preferably 2 years of experience in security industry or related industry, in which service in law enforcement agencies will definitely be an advantage;
• possess a valid Security Personnel Permit (SPP);
• have sound knowledge of security systems, including access control systems and CCTV systems, security and safety incident management and performance management of security personnel;
• possess sound knowledge of relevant legislation in the field of security;
• be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese; and
• be able to work on irregular hours or shifts as and when necessary.
