The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift, which provides safety and protects all patrons, employees and company assets This position is responsible for learning and communicating the various policies and procedures required of the Security Department staff and for ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive position. It is a job or position where the team member holding this position has the responsibility for his/her own safety and/or the safety of others.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for employee decisions including: hiring, evaluations, training, develop and discipline staff up to suspensions and recommendations for termination.
Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting.
Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed.
Review departmental activities with the Security Manager, Security Shift Manager and meet with Managers/Directors a necessary.
Manage staff within department budget restraints and accurately complete assigned reports.
Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.
Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Standing 90% with 60% of that time being actively walking, sitting 10%, and lifting up to 35 lbs without assistance.
Ability to pull/push large carts with assistance weighing up to 400-600 lbs.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day and move effectively and efficiently throughout the casino, responding to assignments and managing staff.
Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoked filled casino environment with noise levels.
Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, every guest every time.
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, two-way radio, computer, copy machine, fax machine, flashlight, ID scanner and telephone.
Must maintain up to date ID checking, as well as the ability to make immediate and proper decisions based on findings.
Must be able to verify colors to properly check identification and ensure they match the guest presenting them.
Ability to review and comprehend player data and other necessary documentation to ensure compliance with gaming regulations.
Ability to multi-task with frequent time constraints in an interruptive environment and maintain composure during difficult and/or stressful situations.
Ability to observe and give appropriate feedback on the actions of subordinates.
Ability to review reports for content and proper spelling/grammar.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees through written and oral communication.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years experience as a security officer, military or law enforcement agent or a two-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Display a sound understanding of policies and procedures, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate or supervise the work of others within 90 days of hire date.
Be able to obtain a valid level II license issued by the Missouri Gaming
Must obtain CPR/AED Certification within 90 days of hire and maintain throughout employment in this position.
