Job Description

The Security Supervisor at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is directly responsible for the supervision of the Security Offices. Reporting to the Security Shift Manager, this role demands adaptability, as tasks and shifts may vary based on departmental requirements. Key responsibilities include providing direct supervision for entrance control officers, ensuring compliance with security ation protocols, resolving guest inquiries, and assisting with security operations on the gaming floor.

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise entrance control officers in conducting ID checks, ensuring adherence to departmental ID policies.
• Oversee officers' equipment readiness.
• Maintain a presence on the gaming floor, addressing concerns, fielding guest questions, and supporting the security team during the carding process.
• Make real-time decisions regarding ID verification, handling prohibited items, and dealing with security situations.
• Supervise Security Officers assigned to the shift.
• Collaborate with the Security Shift Manager to enforce departmental policies, safeguard company assets, and ensure guest and team member safety.
• Assist in shift scheduling to meet business demands and comply with minimum staffing requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of incident reports, logs, and other necessary documentation.
• Participate in emergency procedure implementation.
• Conduct Security Officer Performance Appraisals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a casino or hotel environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and motivation abilities.
• Effective organization and planning capabilities.
• Familiarity with various computer programs, like Microsoft Office or Google Suites.
• Ability to engage with team members and guests.
• Commitment to teamwork.
• Willingness to fulfill pre-employment requirements.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with team members and guests in English

Certifications:

• Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming Level 2 License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing sitting and walking
• Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
• Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
