Job Description

Allied Universal® Technology Services is seeking to hire a Solutions Engineer. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of Security Integration, and IT solutions for internal and external customers. This role works closely with sales, engineering, operations, and client stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver scalable technology solutions across networking, systems, cloud, and cybersecurity platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Solutions & Support

  • Assist in the design, deployment, and integration of Security Integration and IT infrastructure solutions, including networking, servers, virtualization, cloud, endpoint technologies, and APIs
  • Support the implementation, configuration, testing, validation, and documentation of enterprise hardware and software systems
  • Participate in solution architecture discussions, technical discovery sessions, and deployment planning activities
  • Serve as an escalation resource for diagnosing and resolving complex system, network, and integration issues across customer and internal environments

Customer & Project Engagement

  • Partner with customers to gather technical requirements, define business objectives, and align solution strategies
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-concept environments, and solution walkthroughs
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to support deployments, pilot implementations, and ongoing project communications

IT Infrastructure & Security

  • Design and validate network, connectivity, and infrastructure solutions supporting physical security and enterprise systems
  • Provide technical expertise for Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, hybrid environments, and enterprise integrations
  • Ensure solutions meet cybersecurity standards, optimize performance and scalability, and support continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and deployment procedures
  • Identify automation and operational improvement opportunities while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in solutions engineering, systems integration, network engineering, technical consulting, or related technology roles
  • Working knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless, and security architectures
  • Understanding of Windows, Linux, virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and Microsoft 365 environments as they relate to integrated security solutions
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, network segmentation, identity management, and secure system design
  • Ability to assess customer requirements and develop scalable, integrated technology solutions that align with business and security objectives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Industry certifications such as:
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent cybersecurity/networking certification
  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Azure Solutions certifications
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect certifications
  • Physical security industry certifications (Genetec, LenelS2, Milestone, Software House, Avigilon, or equivalent) preferred
