Security Supervisor – Orangeburg, NY

Pay Rate: $29.00/hr.

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at a secure corporate environment in Orangeburg, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to effectively manage officers while maintaining high security standards.

Position Details

• Location: Orangeburg, NY
• Pay Rate: $29.00/hr.
• Must be available to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays as required
• Responsible for overseeing daily security operations and officer performance

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility
• Use C-Cure access control systems to open doors, manage badge access, and create badges
• Use D-Boss/Site Pass to read, understand, and process tickets authorizing access to the site
• Use the BioConnect system to update and add fingerprints to badges for access to biometric readers throughout the facility
• Monitor CCTV systems diligently and remain vigilant for unusual or suspicious activity
• Ensure all visitors are properly checked in and authorized before granting access
• Use an intercom system to communicate professionally with visitors requiring access to the building
• Communicate effectively with the operations team via radio
• Enforce site security policies, procedures, and access control protocols
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors
• Collaborate effectively with fellow Security Officers, management, and client personnel
• Utilize Slack for workplace communication and messaging
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook for daily administrative and security-related tasks
• Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment at all times

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• High School Diploma, GED, or proof of education
• Previous security experience preferred
• Previous experience with access control systems preferred
• Ability to learn and operate security technology and computer-based systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with Slack or similar workplace messaging platforms
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned location
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
