Job Category: Hospitality - HotelJOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for Security/Safety/Loss Control Operations during assigned shift to promote a secure environment in line with Quinault Beach Resort & Casinos' company philosophy, while maintaining an emphasis on customer service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain an awareness of company and departmental policies, procedures and rules.
- Maintain awareness of current laws, case laws, rules and regulations relating to any aspect of Security.
- Monitor and promote compliance.
- May staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel. Assign work, grant overtime and early outs, discipline and train employees and recommend wage increases and promotions.
- Take appropriate measures to promote the safety of customers, guests and employees.
- Conduct routine and established patrols, observation, prevention and reporting during assigned shift.
- Promote the courteous treatment of customers and employees including, but not limited to customer and employee complaints.
- Promote and monitor the confidential treatment of all relevant information.
- Provide for the effective documentation of shift activities.
- Promote ongoing effective communications with QBR&C personnel and outside agencies.
- Determine and implement appropriate courses of action as dictated by events.
- Assist Security Director and Security Manager in recommending, establishing and maintaining the control necessary to the achievement of department goals.
- Assist in internal and external investigations.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with other Security organizations, Law Enforcement Agencies, City, County, State and Federal Entities.
- Promote proper treatment and effective use of assigned equipment and supplies.
- Perform the duties of subordinate personnel as required.
- Perform department-related duties as required.
- Additional or continued education certificates in related fields.
- Such other job-related duties as may be assigned by management.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)
While performing these job duties, the employee is regularly required to:
- Walking and standing for long periods of time.
ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS
- All areas of the operation and in accordance with Internal Controls
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated Casino Security experience.
- Demonstrated record of positive customer service skills.
- Report writing and incident investigation skills.
- Additional or continued education certificates in related fields.
- One (1) or more years of full time supervisory experience, preferrably in the security field.
Preferred:
- Work experience at Quinault Beach Resort & Casino, or a casino environment.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Class III Washington State and Quinault Indian Nation Tribal Gaming License
- Maintain a valid Washington State Drivers License
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (within 90-days of hire)
- Alcohol server training CARE or TIPS.
