As demand for our Security & Risk services grows, we’re looking for a Security & Risk Consultant to help clients deliver safer, more resilient outcomes across critical infrastructure and complex operational environments, with a particular focus on data centres.
This is an opportunity to move beyond day-to-day security operations and grow your consulting capability while helping clients understand risk, influence decision-making and deliver practical security solutions that make a real difference.
This is not a cybersecurity role. You'll focus on physical, personnel, procedural and electronic security, working across projects that span critical infrastructure, government, commercial and technology environments.
In this role, you'll:
Working alongside experienced security professionals, engineers and project teams, you’ll broaden your expertise, strengthen your consulting capability and contribute to increasingly complex projects and environments.
There’s no single pathway into security consulting. You may already work in the field, or have experience in defence, intelligence, government security, law enforcement, corporate security, risk, resilience or another advisory environment where you’ve developed strong analytical thinking and sound judgement.
This role would suit someone with a solid foundation in security, risk or advisory work who is ready to take the next step in their consulting career.
You enjoy understanding complex problems, assessing risk and providing practical advice that helps organisations make better decisions. You communicate clearly, build trusted relationships and adapt your approach for different stakeholders and environments.
Experience in critical infrastructure, government security or data centre environments would be an advantage, but we’re open to a broad range of backgrounds. We’re particularly interested in people who bring curiosity, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in helping clients improve their security outcomes.
Due to the nature of some projects, you'll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearances and licensing requirements.
Beca's Security & Risk team delivers trusted, independent advice to clients across critical infrastructure, government, commercial and technology sectors. We help organisations understand their risk landscape and make confident decisions through practical, proportionate and risk-based security solutions spanning governance, physical, personnel, procedural and electronic security.
As part of Beca Applied Technologies, you’ll join a close-knit, highly engaged team that values collaboration, technical excellence and having fun along the way. Working with security specialists, engineers and multidisciplinary project teams, you’ll contribute to high-impact projects, strengthen your expertise and build lasting professional relationships.
A career with Beca will provide you with:
