Job Description

Strengthen security across Tribe FEC by turning complex risks, policies, and regulatory requirements into clear decisions, practical controls, and consistent ways of working.

You & your role

As Security Professional, you know the secrets of turning complex security requirements into practical actions. You lead the area- and tribe-wide security community, align priorities and standards, and promote consistent execution across the organisation. You embed security, resilience, fraud prevention, and compliance throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Security, and Product teams to design, build, and operate secure solutions that meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Maintain a clear view of the security posture, set priorities, and enable informed decisions. Without formal line-management responsibility, you challenge, advise, and connect teams, leaders, and central security stakeholders.

Examples from practice

• Translate central security policies, standards, and controls into actionable plans for technology teams.
• Monitor risks, findings, exceptions, and remediation; escalate critical or recurring issues.
• Lead tribe/area-wide security forums and strengthen capability through coaching, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teams functionally by aligning security priorities, quality standards, and ways of working across the tribe.
• Report security risks, overdue actions, and remediation progress to support decisions by the Tribe Leadership Team.
• Act as the area’s primary security counterpart for the tribe and CISO organisation, translating enterprise standards into consistent implementation.
• Drive secure-by-design practices, stakeholder alignment, and regulatory compliance across FEC Workflow Management.
• Embed security in the SDLC through threat modelling, secure coding, architecture reviews, and DevSecOps automation.
• Coordinate vulnerability management, incident response, security assessments, and team enablement to improve the security posture continuously.

Ensure security is embedded in delivery and decision-making, and advise the tribe on security capacity, priorities, and capability development.

You & your talent

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in information security, cyber security, or security governance within a large-scale technology and agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, control implementation, Zero Trust, and defence-in-depth principles.
• Experience advising leadership teams on security risks, priorities, and remediation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with a proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with cloud architecture, cloud security, and SaaS solutions.
• One or more relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SABSA, Security+, Microsoft Security certifications, GIAC, CEH, CCSP, PenTest+, GISF, AZ-900, SC-900, or an equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of Pega or PegaCloud is an advantage.
