We are now hiring for a full-time Security Operations Specialist to join our Headquarters (HQ) Team!

SALARY:  The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $00,000- $00,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Triage and investigate security alerts from managed SOC services and security platforms (EDR, email security, identity monitoring)
  • Perform first line investigation of phishing, malware, and suspicious activity
  • Support incident response efforts, including investigation, evidence gathering, documentation, and coordination of containment or remediation actions
  • Respond to phishing reports and assist with identification and handling of email-based threats
  • Collaborate closely with the IS System Operations team during investigations, system changes, and security remediation activities
  • Support vulnerability management and patching efforts, including validation, coordination, and follow-up with IT teams
  • Assist with execution of security awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and training campaigns
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and operational procedures
  • Maintain and update documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in IT, systems operations, or a related technical role
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting security operations, incident response, or security tooling
  • Experience working alongside a managed SOC or MSSP
  • Familiarity with endpoint security, email security, and incident response workflows
  • Exposure to vulnerability management and patch management programs
  • Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with IT or systems operations teams

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to investigate and validate security alerts using logs, alerts, and system data
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across endpoints, email systems, and identity signals
  • Understanding of common attack techniques such as phishing, credential abuse, and malware
  • Ability to follow defined playbooks while exercising sound judgment on escalation and prioritization
  • Clear written communication skills for documentation, incident notes, and handoffs
  • Ability to work effectively with internal IT teams and external security partners
  • Comfortable operating in a growing security program with evolving processes and tooling

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel,

handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an

activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
