The Security Operations Governance & Modernization is responsible for the governance, operational effectiveness, modernization strategy, and continual improvement of enterprise security operations.
The role ensures security services are aligned with business, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements while driving modernization initiatives across security platforms, processes, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities

Your key responsibilities
Define and maintain Security Operations governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and operating procedures.
Lead governance forums with Security Operations, Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Audit, and vendor teams.
Establish and monitor security KPIs, KRIs, SLAs, compliance metrics, and operational reporting.
Govern Security Incident Management, Threat Detection, Vulnerability Management, and Security Monitoring processes.
Drive remediation of audit findings, security risks, regulatory observations, and compliance gaps.
Oversee third-party security service providers and managed security operations performance.
Ensure effective operation of SIEM, EDR, IAM, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Intelligence platforms.
Govern security operations change management, service resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security posture, operational efficiency, and automation.
Drive the Security Operations modernization roadmap aligned to enterprise cybersecurity strategy.
Promote automation, orchestration, and AI-assisted security operations capabilities.
Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to improve cyber resilience and risk reduction.
Your skills and experience
15+ years of experience in Cyber Security Operations, Security Engineering, or Security Governance.
8+ years of experience leading large-scale security operations or governance functions
Experience managing enterprise SIEM, SOC, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response programs.
Mainframe Technologies: IBM z/OS,z15 / z17 Architecture, TSO/ISPF, MQ and CICS
Security Technologies: Splunk, EDR, PAM, Event Monitoring, Network Security, Encryption & Threat Intelligence
Databases: DB2 & IMS DB
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
