💰 Pay: £27,518.40 per annum

📅 Hours: 42 hours per week: 4 days on, 4 days off & 4 nights on, 4 nights off

You don’t need any previous experience. What matters is your attitude, your willingness to learn, and your drive to grow. From day one, you’ll receive the training, coaching and support you need to thrive.

You’ll join our 12‑month Security Control Room Apprenticeship (plus 3 months for your end‑point assessment), fully supported by a dedicated coach. This is hands‑on, practical learning — no college days or classroom attendance — with everything gained directly in the workplace alongside experienced colleagues who want to see you succeed and build a long‑term career with us.

Our Security Operations Centres (SOCs) in Milton Keynes and Waterlooville are the heart of our monitoring capabilities. Here, our teams handle:

• Security alarm monitoring
• CCTV systems
• Fire, environmental and emergency alarm responses
• Incident support and escalation

You’ll learn how to manage incidents professionally, confidently and with precision — becoming an essential part of keeping people and property safe.

What you’ll be doing day to day:

As an Apprentice Security Operations Centre Apprentice you will:

• Respond to alarm activations across multiple platforms
• Monitor CCTV and deliver timely, accurate responses
• Support mobile teams during call-outs
• Liaise with customers, contractors and emergency services
• Keep systems updated and maintain high-quality reporting
• Provide support during adverse weather, emergencies or incidents

Qualifications

What you'll need:

Firstly, you don’t need security experience — we’ll teach you everything!

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is 18 or over
• Has GCSE Maths or English at Grade C/4 (or willing to complete them during the apprenticeship)
• Communicates clearly and confidently
• Enjoys helping people
• Can stay focused under pressure
• Pays attention to detail
• Works well in a team
• Is eager to learn and grow
• Demonstrates integrity, vigilance and helpfulness — our core values
