
This position is the primary first responder to all medical emergencies for guest and employee injuries and illnesses. Oversees and controls incidents, handles evidence, assists supervisor in coordinating emergencies, delivers training in the absence of the training coordinator, reviews other officer’s reports for accuracy. To provide superior service to the resort’s guests by seeking opportunities to be of service, maintaining highly visible patrols to ensure a safe gaming experience, and assuring quality support to other departments so they may serve guests more effectively.
• Provides first aid, including CPR when necessary.
• Must be currently certified as a First Responder through the National Safety Council.
• Primary first responder to all medical emergencies for guest and employee injuries and illnesses.
• Provides emergency first aid and determines if a higher level of care is needed.
• Oversees and maintains control of incidents occurring on property when Security Supervisors are unable to respond.
• Assists the Security Shift Supervisor in coordinating efforts during emergency situations that could include evacuations for bomb threats, fire, flood, earthquake, hazmat, or any other catastrophe.
• Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers.
• Delivers training modules to the shifts in the absence of Security Training coordinator.
• Is able to review other officers’ reports for correctness.
• One year experience in a position with direct guest contact required.
• Must possess excellent customer and employee relations skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no suspensions, DUI or more than 2 moving vehicle violations within the last 3 years.
• Must Currently have San Diego County EMT Certification.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must be able to successfully complete the Security Service Officer Documentation Assessment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 115 degrees or cold as low as 10 degrees.
• Must be able to physically restrain adults who weight more than 200 pounds.
• Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads, and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.
• Must be able to make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.
• Must be able to see and remember the specific details of incidents and persons.
• Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.
• Responds to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
Pay: $21.25 an hour
Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
