and Objective
Security and Transportation Professionals are charged with the safety and security of Doctors, Nurses, patients, and staff while on sites owned and operated by the Hospital District as well as under the direction of the Transportation Director.
Essential Functions
Security officers are tasked with patrolling areas owned and/or rented/leased by SHCHD, responding to safety and security threats, and establishing a security presence. Security officers must be alert, strong communicators, and physically fit. Officers must be flexible in work schedule assignments. Weekend and night work should be acceptable to all team members in Security. Officers must assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of the designated areas by patrolling, identifying security needs, completing incident reports, and responding to incidents accordingly. The security position involves a heavy amount of Driving. Please keep in mind that safely operating Vehicles ranging from regular-sized passenger cars to ambulances and Mobile Doctors' office clinics 42-46 feet in length is a requirement for Transportation employment.
